Panel 3 took sixteen hours to render. 😡

I recently had to change how I render panels, as I don’t have a dedicated render machine anymore. Let me know if you think the is quality dropping.

Also, what do you think Huldrekall wants the augmentation tech for?

16 h (!) gush, that's heavy... quality is ok, imho... render quality is not the most important aspect of a comic... but that's also imho...

Wot U sed! For me, the most important thing about a comic with a narrative is the story; graphic issues do not matter.

Good to know. Will still do what I can to avoid poor quality renders. Even if it means sloughing through more 16 hour renders.

Huh, I'm already late.

Gosh, 16 hours!

(Minor "quality drop", just saying so you know that someone noticed it: Meteor's hair in panel 3 is a bit fuzzy, but I am spoiled by (getting used to) the high graphic quality in the past. If quality drops will be not worse than that level, no problem, IMHO.)

But I have to disagree with Jawbone to a major extend: Graphic quality (or level of realism, also in drawing style) does matter for me, extreme example: You can do a Funny with stick figures, but a superhero/SF comic with a serious story, done with stick figures just doesn't work well enough for me. 3D comics can drop below a level where the reader's imagination is needed to "cover up" rendering flaws, to a point where the seriousness of the story isn't taken really seriously anymore. (One specific 3D comic outside of CF comes to mind, it may have been mentioned in the comments already...) But I fully trust your standards. :)

Hmm, depends on what exactly the tech is for. Wild & uneducated guess: To boost the strengths of the members of his group. Or some members. Or maybe especially to improve his own power, considering the issue that the seems to have with his skin.
But would Derringer give them something really valuable without a catch? I'm having doubts!

Meteor’s hair is fuzzy/blurry because of the depth of field of the camera. In this particular render, only Derringer, Huldrekall, and Gateway are in focus (sharp). I’ve purposely left Meteor outside of that area, because he is not speaking in this scene, and the focus (no pun intended) should be on the other three.

The problem with this render is Huldrekall and Gateway. Despite 16 hours of rendering, they’re still noticeably grainy (at least to me). I’ve covered it up with despeckling, but that’s also made them a little blurry. They’re not as sharp and in focus as they should be.

Then it's all good, even looking for blurriness on these two, I see nothing.
