Well, thoughts, yes... or rather no: Holding back and letting the others start the attack. But the others were defeated easily when they tried to attack Derringer all "at once" or at least nearly at once. So that's known to not work. Attacking really at the same time... If Derringer can anticipate the timing from Meteor somehow... that would probably fail, too, he can just fly up and dodge.
So a game plan that has some good chance for success: I have literally no idea.
Super busy these days unfortunately. Really can’t commit to any kind of schedule. Also, these fight scenes are significantly more complicated and take longer to put together than conversation focused-pages.
I think that anything they attempt, will depend on how closely they have trained as a team, and as Meteor has said, there is quite a bit of discord amongst them. We will simply have to see what he does, tactically speaking. Perhaps he intends to somehow damage his helmet. Cut off the connection.
Please don't try distracting him by flashing. Anything but that trope.
The usual tactic in this predicament is to abandon tactics and planning and lash out impulsively and at random. It always works on the Enterprise.
How many times has the Enterprise been destroyed? Destroying Derringer's helmet, or his own, would definitely provide an advantage by rendering Derringer unable to anticipate their offense.
Yes. It would be unfortunate, and not as satisfying as destroying Derringer's helmet, but it would take away his advantage. Sacrifices have to be make occasionally. And once Derringer is defeated, they can go through his data base, or whatever records he has, and duplicate it. Perhaps even improve it.
Meteor's a cyborg. I'm not sure you can just rip his headgear off without doing some serious damage. Ripping his headgear off might not even cut off Derringer's ability to anticipate his actions.
He goes without his Hemet when he is out of costume, such as at the coffee shop with Shield. I'm not necessarily saying remove it; just render it useless to Derringer.
I don't recall the exact page to look up. At the same time, I believe they try to keep their personal identities undisclosed, so parading around in public in their battle suits would be counterproductive.
I do recall that he wasn't wearing a Helmet in the coffee shop. By all means, correct me if i am wrong.
There are several scenes where we don’t see Meteor with his armour and/or headgear. I’m questioning whether they’re actually gone just because we don’t see them on the page.
Meteor is a monster that has been augmented with cybernetics. I haven’t really explained what that means yet though. How exactly does he just make his armour appear?
I don't recall any other monsters which have displayed powers of invisbility over themselves, or other things. I suppose, that his street costume could be some form of Hologram, which disappears when he goes into action.
You are the creator however, so I will simply rely on your creative inspiration.
I intend to go into further detail about Meteor’s power set and cybernetic enhancements (and specifically this ability), but I want to do it in comic as it will take a little bit of setup.
It’s also not narratively relevant right now, so I haven’t felt the need to explain it.
I hope that makes sense. 🤔
And thanks for the questions! It’s a lot more fun making this when there are readers, such as yourself, theorizing, probing, and showing their interest via the comments.

Any thoughts on what Meteor's game plan is?

Hopefully I’ve laid the groundwork, so that Meteor’s plan and whatever else comes next satisfies. 🤞

Maybe someone else gets it - I have bad days and good days when it comes to such things. This week it's bad days...

I don't think there will be anything to "get." At least not yet ;)

Always glad to see a new update! Page looks great.

There’s an episode of Enterprise where they distract an adversary by flashing them!?
1st Oct 2021, 10:55 PM
I only saw one episode, but I remember a sweaty Jolene Blalock in the decontamination sauna, so I wouldn't put it past them.
7th Oct 2021, 3:43 PM
I believe that’s from the pilot episode. In the future, decontamination requires a rubdown from an equally sweaty, shirtless southerner.

What do you mean by “his own”? If they destroyed Meteor’s helmet?

Has he removed it though in those scenes? We don’t see his headgear and armour, but is it really gone? ;)
