This is one of those things where 3D comics are at a disadvantage. In a 2D comic, I could always warp the perspective to make them appear larger, and thus easier to see.
I can only go so far in 3D before things start to look off. I’ve actually already increased the size of the talons by 300% to make them easier to see. I tested upping the size even more, but it started to look weird and out of place.
Maybe if you had done a smaller panel showing the talons launching from her fingers? That may have worked! Also, can she just extend her talons or does she have to launch them and can she do the same with the class on her feet?
The talons are hidden by both the blur tool and the background color. I didn't notice them until you mentioned it. They might need something akin to a motion indicator older comics used.
Hard to make them stand out in a busy scene. I agree with the close up frame idea but it might have interfered with the flow of action, which is fantastic, by the way.

Can people tell that Dreadlocke is throwing her projectile talons? Or is it too hard to see?

They are a little hard to see, but they are there.

I can see them, but just barely. I have Defective Color Vision, and the range of colors I see is limited.
