These fights are going to kill me...so much work. I hope it's been worth it. I've tried to show a range of abilities and power combos. (All of which takes time and pages to set up.)
Has this fight been satisfying/entertaining? Should I opt for shorter fights in the future?
I like the fight. It is clear the teamwork is helping. Methinks it needs a bit more urgency. The particle impacts are GREAT! I love the shrapnel effects! The scene looks a bit too sterile though...
If possible, I prefer to apply the effects in DAZ3D (the rending program I use), pre-render. It just makes everything feel coherent (especially the lighting). I think these brush effects (added after in Photoshop) look decent though. I haven’t experimented that much with particle effects. So it’s still very much a learning process.
Yeah. We’ve been stuck in the same setting for almost 20 pages now. It’s getting boring.
The fight is looking fine. It has become well coordinated. I haven't spotted any of your mistakes, but the armor that the protagonist is wearing must be very strong, as I don't see a great deal of it flying off from the projectile strikes. It is a nice sequence. And now Meteor is free to take the reigns.

That’s a failing of my abilities more than anything. I would have preferred the damage to Derringer’s helmet to be more visible (and have more depth).
Initially, I tried to apply the damage effects directly to the model pre-render. That proved outside my abilities, and I ended up using Photoshop brushes to add the damage effects in post.
If Meteor weren't strong enough to beat him, Derringer wouldn't have given himself the advantage of knowing his thoughts to anticipate his strategy.
With 4 other powerful entities helping him, the street fight becomes a genuine assault, fully coordinated, and concentrated.
Derringer damned well better run, or have an escape route ready.

A lot of small mistakes on this page. Here's the original version for posterity.

Try to spot the differences!

great page
I see 2 changes. cracked glass is on the other side in the last box. Fwam is now Thwack in the box where Derringer is getting hit with purple spikes
any more?

Thanks! 😁
There are three corrections on this page. You got two of them! Nice work! 👍 Third is hard to see.
Panel 4 - Changed “FWAM” to “THWACK,” as I had already used “FWAM” in panel 2, but didn’t notice until after I published the page.
Panel 6 - Shield’s gun was in her back holster, despite the fact she’s holding it.
Panel 8 - The smashed glass was on the wrong side. Should have been on the left.

Another lesson learned.

It works, but it could be better.

this is all good.
with the telemetry down, Derringer can't predict Meteor's moves. he'll realize he's out-matched now.
time to start "the running battle" sequence as Derringer tries to withdraw and escape.(and get them all out of that room!)

Glad you're enjoying it! Thanks for reading!
Derringer is still pretty formidable. He was curb stomping our heroes until they started working together and following Meteor's instructions.
It's five on one now. And we've seen that Meteor is pretty damn powerful. But will that be enough?

Derringer has proved pretty canny thus far. I don’t think we can count him out just yet. But we’ll see.

I think the last couple pages have shown the fight really well. This page especially. Nicely done.

Good old fashioned team beatdown of a foe!
It warms the heart!
Very nice action sequence!

Action scenes always take so much more work. Glad to see them paying off/
