So far, I like the concept you are basing your stories on. At the same time, I agree that women are portrayed poorly. There is nothing wrong with making agent Shield attractive, or even voluptuous. Full figured women were once the ideal. There is, however, a saturation point. I think it would be a terrific idea if you dialed her back.
Cheesecake gets readers. It’s the unfortunate truth. There are thousands of webcomics out there, and, as I’ve learned, to get any kind of attention, you need a visual hook. Shield provides that hook.
I had always planned to make Shield voluptuous, but, as I noted in another comment, I made her breasts significantly larger after I first surveyed the webcomic comic scene.
In my first test issue (0.1), I really leaned into what I saw was popular in other webcomics, giving Shield a super revealing outfit, sexy poses, etc.
I’ve dialed it back quite a bit since then, and this issue (0.2) is really a response to my earlier, regrettable choices.
I haven’t abandoned cheesecake altogether (it’s still the best way to draw in readers), but I’m trying to be a bit more sparing with its use in-comic.
